A Healthy Mix

We strive to enrich the fabric of our community with engaging, integrated, transit-friendly environments for tenants, residents, and visitors. Many of our projects integrate existing structures into new, modernized buildings to limit waste while honoring the area’s historic character. Our developments offer a carefully curated mix of amenities and offerings from local, regional, and national tenants designed to meet the needs of the neighborhood. Working with public and private partners, city leaders, and community groups, we incorporate public art, seating areas, landscaping, walking and cycling paths, and retail into a cohesive program designed to elevate everyday enjoyment in and around each property.

Public art is integral to the urban experience

We are devoted to the belief that public art adds vibrancy to the surrounding neighborhood and connects the community to the built environment. Visitors in and around our developments will see large-scale sculptures, murals, intricate glasswork, and street-level window displays in highly visible locations. Selection of food at La Mar

Peruvian cuisine is a melting pot of cultures from all over the world joined in a delicious world of unique Peruvian flavors. In recent years, our cuisine has been sharing its food culture all over the world, specially in cities that love food and celebrate world culinary diversity like Seattle, where Peruvian cuisine is represented at great restaurants. That’s why it’s an honor for La Mar to arrive in Seattle at one of the most iconic buildings, with the best of our Peruvian seafood culture, so we can be part of this beautiful story between our cuisine and Seattle.

Close-up of Dreamer

Painted in a geometric patchwork of black and peach — with one striking red eyebrow — the 14-by-18-by-8-foot figure lolls on her stomach, accompanied by two finned friends. “Fishing, wishing,” a poetry-minded passerby might posit. The real title is “Dreamer,” but I doubt [Patty] Warashina would mind the poetic fishing license. Part of what’s wonderful about the new piece is that it seems so out of place — so curvy and calm — within the rectilinear tech mecca of the neighborhood.
