World-Leading Research

Vulcan Real Estate and UW Medicine collaborated to develop a South Lake Union research campus for the university, furthering the region’s standing as a world-class biotechnology hub.

Phase 3 expands the campus to include two new buildings on the block west of Phases 1 and 2. This innovative development is a striking example of a visionary public-private partnership to transform South Lake Union into a world leader in biotech and research, with advanced facilities and modern workspaces designed to propel advances in life sciences and human health.
