An Oasis in the City
Inspired by the San Juan Islands, Sitka is a serene apartment community in Seattle’s Cascade neighborhood. The Pacific Northwest style and lush landscaping evoke a forest retreat, while sky bridges connect residents to 24/7 onsite amenities.
Sitka uses innovative technologies such as a wastewater heat recovery system and a greywater conservation system to reduce impact on the environment.
The project is part of a trio of full-block, mixed-use residential projects developed by Vulcan Real Estate, creating an engaging pedestrian experience that contributes to the vibrancy of South Lake Union.

Sitka Announced as Winner of 2024 Vision Awards
The 2030 District recognized Sitka for its sustainable approach to water use and conservation with a Vision Award in the Water Category. Certified LEED Platinum and Salmon Safe, the multifamily development in South Lake Union has an innovative wastewater heat recover system to heat the buildings, irrigation is handled by both diverted graywater and harvested stormwater and a largely native and adaptive plant palette reduces the need for irrigation.
