Establishing Seattle as a Technology Hub
Developed along Terry and Boren in South Lake Union, Amazon’s new urban campus provides an opportunity for consolidation and room for expansion in a single neighborhood. The 1.8 million square foot urban campus includes nine new buildings and two historic renovations that help preserve neighborhood character. Three separate architectural firms lend architectural diversity while common design elements like through block connections, inviting courtyards and an activated streetscape create a cohesive experience for workers and visitors. Each phase includes access to public transit, including the Seattle Streetcar that runs along Terry Avenue North. Pockets of green space, flexible seating, 100,000 square feet of ground floor accessory retail and restaurants, and public art by local Northwest artists contribute to a highly walkable urban experience.

Preserving the Past While Protecting the Future
